Our aim is to ensure that trainees and students who want to learn more about psychoanalysis can access our training events, regardless of their background. We are therefore offering a limited number of funded places at our webinars and conferences.
Our longer-term ambition, if finances allow, is to offer bursaries to trainees who are undertaking a substantive psychoanalytic psychotherapy training scheme, accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council or the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (BPC/UKCP). We are very aware that training is expensive and we want to help enable trainees from under-represented groups to become part of the psychoanalytic profession.
If you are someone in a position to support the funded places or bursary scheme by providing a donation to MPDT we would be grateful to hear from you or contact one of the MPDT Trustees directly.
Who can apply for a funded CPD place?
Funded places:
anyone who is a student/trainee in formal education or training and interested in participating at our webinars, and is in genuine financial need due to their personal circumstances
applications are welcome from those eligible wherever they live and work (UK/International)
applicants will be restricted to one application in a 12 month period.
How to apply for a funded CPD place?
If you want to apply for a funded place at an MPDT webinar or conference, please email us at info@mpdt.org.uk prior to applying for the event. Include details of your current training scheme or formal study.
As there are only a limited number of places available at each event, we cannot guarantee a free place. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis, and are contingent upon MPDT having the funds required to support this initiative.
Who can apply for a Trainee Bursary?
Trainee bursaries: MPDT finances do not currently allow us to offer trainee bursaries. Any change in this position will be made public via the MPDT website.
