Manchester Psychoanalytic Development Trust

We are a small group of psychoanalytic clinicians that aims to contribute to the development of a psychoanalytic culture and network in Manchester and the North West of England. We want to encourage and support individuals and organisations in their ways of working and thinking, based on psychoanalytic ideas and approaches. Formerly under the auspices of the Trans-Pennine Partnership (TPP), since 2015 we have organised psychoanalytic study events appealing to a wide range of psychotherapists, mental health practitioners, social care and health workers, social scientists, and others interested in psychoanalytic ideas. We design our events to be of interest to people working with all ages of client/patient, in a variety of roles and settings. We also try to bring psychoanalytic thinking to bear upon social and political contexts.
